Joining Borrow Freely is free provided you list at least 10 things for others in your community to borrow from you for free. While we hope you follow through and share what you list, you are under no obligation to do so. You can list anything and we encourage you to start small with things like books, DVDs, hand tools, video games, craft supplies, etc. Free services like handyman, pet sittiing, hauling, etc. are also encouraged because these build community and trust - and that's our goal.
Free membership allows free listings only. For a small fee (see below) individuals and small businesses may list items for sale and services for hire. Partnerships and Sponsorships are also available. Contact us for details on becoming a business partner!

Hosted Communities
Hosted commmunities are premier Borrow Freely sites for groups like churches,
homeowners association, companies, colleges, etc. These sites enjoy advanced capabilities, such as
control over who joins; configuring of logos, welcome messages and community highlights; and ability to post community-specific ads and graphics. We help you setup membership rules and support your members.
Service contracts are priced based on the
number of active user accounts. All customers start at the 1 - 250 tier.

Open Communities
These communities represent
groups of people that have no governing body. Open Communities allows individuals (with a volunteer Administrator) to
establish a free, online community. Borrow
Freely hosts a site for your Community,
and supports your members.

Business Partnerships
Affiliate Partners
An Affiliate partner is a business that offers services
or rents expensive or unique items typically not
available from Community members. Examples include aerators, bobcats, wedding
canopies, cotton candy machines, p.a. systems, movie
projectors and moving vans. In exchange for being listed in the
Borrow Freely system, Affiliate partners pay
an annual partner fee. Business partnerships benefit
everyone:
- Members may receive discounted rates on services and rentals
- Affiliate Partners receive advertising and sales leads
- Borrow Freely ensures a better mix of items is available for our Members
